Who must complete the process
A parent or legal guardian must initiate or approve coaching for every athlete under 18. Minors should not independently submit coaching or payment information. Children under 13 should not provide personal information directly through this website.
Step 1: Submit the coaching request
The parent or legal guardian uses their own name, email address, and phone number when completing the coaching-request form, identifies that the athlete is under 18, and confirms their authority to request coaching.
Step 2: Review the coaching plan
Before scheduling, Better Throws and the guardian confirm the event, session format, location, athlete experience, coaching goals, price, and any known facility requirements. The guardian should share relevant health restrictions, injuries, allergies, asthma planning, accommodations, or safety concerns.
Step 3: Complete required documents
- Review the Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, Cancellation Policy, and Participation Waiver.
- Complete and electronically sign the combined parental consent and participation acknowledgment at betterthrows.com/waiver.
- Provide an emergency contact and communicate directly about information reasonably necessary for safe participation.
- Ask questions before signing or allowing participation.
Step 4: Supervision and communication
The guardian is responsible for appropriate transportation and for following the agreed supervision arrangement. For remote sessions, a responsible adult should be present or readily available based on the athlete's age and needs. Coaching, scheduling, and payment communication for minors will be directed to or include the guardian.
Consent changes
A guardian may withdraw consent for future participation by notifying coachpellet@gmail.com. Withdrawal does not change charges already earned under the cancellation policy or obligations connected to a completed session. Better Throws may pause or decline participation when required documentation is incomplete or when safe participation cannot be reasonably supported.
